Jesse McReynolds has a great new release worth checking out - I've heard two or three selections, and they were really amazing. Fine mandolin and some terrific arangements, also features Dave Nelson and Stu Allen, and a new song by R. Hunter/McReynolds.

Heard on a podcast - part of an interview with Jesse - here's the blog page:

He also played one tune from it the week of Oct. 5th.

here's a link to the full 5-hour podcast of Oct.12th, (also on iTunes) I think the Jesse interview is about 15-20 minutes into it:

From what I heard on the podcasts, you won't be disappointed. Some of the best GD covers ever recorded in true "American" musical style by a real pro, with good vocals. The connection goes back a long way - to the time when Jerry traveled the South recording bluegrass and banjo bands. Hunter was also deeply impressed with his facility with the songs.
